Penicillium restrictum

A slow-growing fungus that produces a brownish-gray colony with a yellow to peach or drab reverse, within seven days, when incubated at 25oC (77oF). It is a commonly isolated fungus with a worldwide distribution. It has been isolated from soil, sandy soil, desert soil, polluted water, seawater, freshwater, plants, and bird feathers. There have not been any reports of human infections.
